Jordan, allies airdrop aid into besieged Gaza –JAF
AMMAN —The Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF) on Sunday conducted seven airdrops of humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip, in cooperation UAE, France, Germany and Belgium.
Two aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, two from Germany, one from the United Arab Emirates, one from France, and one from Belgium participated in the airdrops, according to a JAF statement.
The planes delivered a total of 61 tonnes of aid into Gaza, as part of a joint international effort to deliver urgent humanitarian assistance starving population in the war-torn Strip.
Members of the Senate's National Guidance and Media Committee accompanied the airdrop missions to observe Jordan's humanitarian and relief efforts firsthand, the statement said.
To date, the JAF have conducted 421 airdrops, including 284 coordinated with allied and partner countries.
Since airdrop operations resumed last week, approximately 262 tons of aid have been delivered.
